In person: The Venue
The workshop will take place in room 1065 in the Murray Building (Building 58) on Highfield Campus, University of Southampton, Southampton SO17 1BJ.
Babies and children are welcome at the workshop, but unfortunately, only by prior arrangement and with some conditions. To manage the needs of all participants, we ask that babies and young children are not brought into the main workshop room during talks, unless asleep or quiet. Parents attending with young children can participate in talks online in the quieter room/ family room and participate in social events in person. Parents are responsible for their children at all times.
An additional room in the same building as the workshop has been booked for participants’ use. This will act a quieter room/ family room for participants with young children. The workshop sessions will be streamed into the quieter room/ family room, and participant will be able to ask questions online or through the chat. For information about the room, including accessibility information see: https://data.southampton.ac.uk/room/58-1035.html
If you need a fully quiet room, please contact the organisers.
In person: Travel and Parking
Parking on Highfield is very limited. We recommend that participants use public transport where possible. We are hoping to be able to provide workshop participants with parking on Avenue Campus and walk to Highfield. This is approximately a 15-minute walk. We are also hoping to reserve a limited number of spaces reserved on Highfield for participants who would struggle with the walk, but do not hold a Disabled Badge. You will be asked during the registration process whether you plan to bring a car, so we can make sure we have the right parking arranged for you.
